11/7/16: Belief, Opinion, Action
What is our attitude toward the word of God? Most of us would say we believe it. We may even say we love it. If either or both of those statements are true, then we ought to be acting in agreement with it. That which I believe and love, I hang my life upon.
Psalm 119:128 says, “Therefore all Your precepts concerning all things I consider to be right; I hate every false way” (NKJ). You see, the psalmist took his belief, formed an opinion, and acted upon it. Essentially he says, “I accept your precepts as true (belief), and I consider them to be right (opinion); therefore, I hate every false way (action).
Let’s approach the word of God as the psalmist did. In every one of life’s situations – good, bad, or indifferent – read and accept God’s precepts as true, form a strong opinion that Gods’ word is right, and then act in obedience to that word. We’ll win every time.

Since November 2001, I have surrendered my life to the LORD. Scripture is abundantly plain about behaviors (actions) that honor Him. Such a life when lived consistently abiding in God’s Word will result in each of His Children one day hearing the words, “This is my beloved Child in whom I am well pleased”.
On Sunday 11/06/2016 the Pastor of the church at which I worship challenged the children (and I think the adults as well), as follows.
He handed out folded slips of paper and told the children not to open the piece of paper until he said that it was alright. After He told the children to open the paper and look at the number written on it. Then he asked all the children to raise their hand as he called out the number. The children were excited as they looked at the number on their paper. He asked, who has the number 1 written on their paper. All the children were excited as they all had a number 1 on te paper which they had been given. He went on to explain, that everyone had the number 1 because to God each person-each child-was number 1. That is how special and unique each person is-including himself.
