Week 9, Day 2: God, You, and Honor

          Read and meditate upon how these verses relate to God, you, and honor:

  •  Isaiah 44:6 – This is what the LORD says–Israel’s King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God. (NIV)
  •  Romams 6:22 – But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. (NIV)
  •  John14:10- Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. (NIV)
  •  Joshua 1:8 – This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (NKJ)
  •  Psalm 119:97-99 – Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day. You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; for they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, for Your testimonies are my meditation. (NKJ)
  •  Jeremiah 8:9 – The wise will be put to shame; they will be dismayed and trapped. Since they have rejected the word of the LORD, what kind of wisdom do they have? (NIV)

 Prayer of Confession: Lord, I confess that I have not been honoring Your work as if it were of no real, practical use. I realize that Your word will make me wise. I need Your wisdom in the following circumstance(s)…
