Week 7, Day 5: Lord, I Want to be Right

Theme: Lord, I Want to be Right
Spiritual Discipline to Practice: Submission

One of the toughest spiritual disciplines to internalize and participate in consistently is the discipline of submission. We just aren’t big on someone else telling us what to do. However, if we are going to be successful in this Christian walk, submission is one of the first disciplines we must master. Proverbs 28:13-14 says, “He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. Happy is the man who is always reverent, but he who hardens his heart will fall into calamity” (NKJ).

Since we have been talking specifically about the Word of God this week, take this weekend and go through it with God telling you what He wants you to think or how he wants you to walk differently. Then submit!
