No Tricks

According to www.joe-ks.com/phrases:

  •  In the 19th century, the status of men was often indicated by the size of their wigs… Judges often wore these poor-fitting wigs, which frequently slipped over the eyes, and it may have been that a clever lawyer who tricked a judge bragged about his deception by saying that he pulled the wool over his eyes… Street thugs would pull the wig down over the victim’s eyes in order to confuse him.

Well, according to another famous saying, we may be able to pull the wool over the eyes of  “some of the people, some of the time,” but we can never trick God. Galatians 6:7-8 says, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”

Let’s remember that since God knows everything, He can’t be fooled. We cannot put anything over on Him. But not only that, God will make sure that what we do engage in will pay us.
